Williamston, NC Almetia Shirely Slade, 74, passed away on December 23, 2011 in her home. Ms. Slade was born in Martin County. She was a member of Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church in Williamston, NC. Survivors are a niece; Stephanie Slade of New York, NY, a nephew; Michael Slade of Pine Tops, NC., other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 12 noon at Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church in Williamston, NC with Minister Cynthia Pointe officiating. The burial will follow in Robersonville Memorial Gardens in Robersonville, NC.
