Alton Highsmith

Williamston, NC Mr. Alton Highsmith, 80, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Cardiac Institute in Greenville, NC. Mr. Highsmith was born in Martin County. He was a member of St. Mark Disciples Church of Christ in Williamston, NC. Survivors include two sons, Alton LaDon Highsmith of Gary, Indiana and Kelvin Douglas Highsmith of Matteson, Illinois; one daughter, Yvonne DeCarlo Griffin of Williamston, NC; one brother, Clarence Highsmith of Williamston, NC; three sisters, Evangelist Margaret Daniels of East Orange, NJ, Gloria Bell of Newark, NJ, and Geraldine Highsmith of Williamston, NC; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1-5 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Manson Mortuary, Williamston, NC and from 11 am to 12 Noon on Friday, August 29, 2014 at United Holy Church of Deliverance in Williamston, NC. The funeral will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, August 29, 2014 at United Holy Church of Deliverance in Williamston, NC with Pastor Troy Ransom officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
