Anna Jean Chance, age 58, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at ECU Health in
Greenville, NC. She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Oak City, NC and
was very active in Ministry at Olive Branch Baptist Church in Parmele, NC, where she served as the
pastor's wife.
Her survivors include her husband, Samuel E. Chance of Robersonville, NC; her parents, Sonnie
Moore, Sr and Rosie G. Moore of Robersonville, NC; one son, Samuel E. Chance, II of Winston-
Salem, NC; four daughters, Andrea J. Chance of Greenville, NC, Alyssa J. Bell of Greenville, NC,
Adrianna Jean Outlaw of Robersonville, NC and Arlena J C Spruill of Raleigh, NC; three brothers,
Roy L. Moore of Williamston, NC, Sonnie Moore, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY and Victor G. Moore of
Durham, NC; one sister, Lisa M. Wilkins of Newport News, VA and three grandchildren.
Her walkthrough viewing will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm
at Manson Mortuary in Williamston, NC. A face covering is recommended upon entrance to the building.
Another viewing will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at
Roanoke Middle Ground Baptist Church (The Temple) in Robersonville, NC.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 am at Roanoke Middle Ground
Baptist Church (The Temple) 3314 Robert Everett Road in Robersonville, NC with Pastor Freddie
L. Hyman, Sr. serving as the eulogist.
Interment will immediately follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC.
