Williamston, NC Miss Claudette C. Whitley, 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Martin General Hospital. Miss Whitley was born in Martin County. Survivors include two daughters, Shireen Washington of Patterson, NJ and Anita Y. Whitley of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Marva L. Tidwell of Passaic, NJ; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Manson Mortuary, Williamston, NC. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Manson Mortuary Chapel in Williamston, NC. Burial will follow in the Andrews Memorial Park in Williamston, NC.
