Mrs. Ester Bell Barnes, age 71, passed away on June 3, 2019.  She was a member of

Sycamore Missionary Baptist Church in Hamilton, NC.

Survivors include three sons, Whalen Barnes, Jr. of Gold Point, NC, Tony

Barnes of Raleigh, NC and Tracy Barnes of Durham, NC.; six daughters,

Tammy Miller of Vanceboro, NC, Sheila Barnes of Williamston, NC, Armisscia

B. Fields of Farmville, NC, Pamela Barnes of Greenville, NC, Precious

Seabrooks of Raleigh, NC and Leetiteia Barnes of Williamston, NC; four

brothers, Jimmy Kee Grant of Rocky Mount, NC, Robert Grant and Leon Grant

of Maryland and Gary Grant of Tarboro, NC; seven sisters, Lucy Tyson of

Hopewell, VA, Nonnie Clark of Hamilton, NC, Jeanette Harley of

Washington, DC, Annie Cox of New Bern, NC, Alma Campbell of Tarboro, NC,

Pattie Lewis of Scotland Neck, NC and Dorothy Shields of Tarboro, NC; fifteen grandchildren

and seven great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at

Sycamore Missionary Baptist Church in Hamilton, NC.

Her funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Sycamore Missionary

Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Pastor Alvin Rawlings officiating.

Interment will follow in Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton, NC.
