Robersonville, NC James Lewis Rodgers, 66, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Martin General Hospital. Mr. Rodgers was born in Martin County. He was a retired worker from Hallmark and was a member of Back Swamp Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ Williamston, NC. Survivors are his wife, Janice L. Rodgers of Robersonville, NC,; sons, James "Jay" Rodgers, Jr., Everetts, NC and Rondric Rodgers of Indianapolis, Indiana; Two brothers; William Rodgers of Washington, NC and Michael Rodgers of Williamston, NC. Seven sisters; Minnie Brown of Williamston, NC, Mary Rodgers of Newport News, Va, Lenora Smith of Williamston, NC, Alice Bonds of Williamston, NC, Flossie Smith of Jamesville, NC, Linda Rodgers of Williamston, NC and Rometa Speller of Selma, NC. A visitation will be held from 1-5 pm, Monday, July 11 at Manson Mortuary and Tuesday, July 12 at 1:00 pm at Back Swamp Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ Williamston, NC. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Back Swamp Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ Williamston, NC with Pastor Derrick L. Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Williamston, NC.
