Ms. Joan White Howard, age 74, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 in Wake Medical Center in
Raleigh, NC. She was a retired exceptional children's educator with Martin County Schools. She was also
a member of Back Swamp Church of Christ (DOC) Church in Williamston, NC, where she served actively
in several ministries.
Her survivors include three brothers, William White of Wade, NC, Eddie Frank White of Baltimore, MD, and
Charlie Ray White of Williamston, NC and one sister, Julia Mae White of NY.
Her walk through viewing will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at
Manson Mortuary in Williamston, NC. A face covering and temperature checks are required upon entrance.
Her PRIVATE funeral will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Back Swamp Church of
Christ (DOC) Church in Williamston, NC with Pastor Derrick L. Wilkins officiating.
Her interment will follow in Back Swamp Church Cemetery.
