Williamston, NC Mr. Moses Lee Lawrence, 78, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at home. Mr. Lawrence was born in Martin County. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Hamilton, NC. Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Lawrence of Williamston, NC; three sons, George Lawrence of South Carolina, Moses Lee Lawrence Jr of California, and Joseph L. Lawrence of Williamston, NC; four daughters, Marion Hodges of South Carolina, Valeria Lawrence of Robersonville, NC, Deborah L. Hatley of Chapel Hill, NC, and Mesha Lawrence of Greenville, NC; one brother, Willie H. Lawrence of Maryland; six sisters, Gertrude Northern of Williamston, NC, Geraldine Morgan of Williamston, NC, Mae Ella Raynor of Robersonville, NC, Rosetta Brown of Charlotte, NC, Christine Whitaker of Charlotte, NC, and May Bell Williams of Charlotte, NC; sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 7-8 pm on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Manson Mortuary, Williamston, NC. The funeral will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Hamilton, NC with Rev. Freddie Hyman officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
