Mr. Stanley Armstrong

Stanley Armstrong Sr., 62, passed away peacefully at Wakemed Raleigh Hospital on Thursday October 20, 2016. Stanley was born February 9, 1954 in Pitt County to the late Russell and Katie Armstrong. Stanley was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a very active member of the Armstrong Family Prayer House. Being a hard worker, he was employed at Weyerhaeuser(Domtar) for 45 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Lendora Armstrong; daughters Kimberly Cox of Williamston, Cassandra Moore(Currein) and Davon Williams(Ricky) of Raleigh; Eric Cox Sr. and Derek Cox Sr.(Latisa) of Williamston, Darrell Woolard(Tywania) of Washington, Stanley Armstrong Jr. of Butner, NC, Darius Armstrong of Plymouth; sisters Nellie Ore(Frankie), Janice Lee of Williamston; brothers Arthur Armstrong (Eva) of Williamston, Nathaniel Armstrong(Sallie) of Kansas City, MO, Butch Armstrong(Debra) of Robersonville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Armstrong-Farmer(John) who is deceased of Williamston, brothers William Armstrong(Carlotta) of Chapel Hill, Richard Armstrong(Annette) of Kansas City,MO. Stanley had 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

The Wake will be held at Manson Mortuary 415 Washington Street, Williamston on Friday, October 28th from 1pm-5pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 29th at 2pm at Cedar Hill Baptist Church 2131 Rodgers School Road in Williamston, NC. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC.
