Ms. Hassell was born in Martin County. She was a member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, NC.
Survivors include one son, Raleigh Rascoe of Williamston, NC; five daughters, Janice Goss, Geneva Rascoe, Sarah M. Hall, Mattie Rascoe and Lorraine Respass, all of Williamston, NC; and 18 grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, NC.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, NC with Pastor Russell Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC.
