Queen Esther Chance, age 91, passed away on October 8, 2022 in Williamston, NC.
She was a member of Poplar Point Missionary Baptist Church were she served faithfully until her
health began to decline.
Her survivors include four sons, Billie James Chance of Williamston, NC, Johnny Lee Chance and
Samuel Earl Chance of Robersonville, NC and Edward Louis Chance of Williamston, NC; three daughters,
Esther Maxine Goss and Rita Faye Smallwood of Williamston, NC and Carolyn Ann James of Wadesboro, NC;
two brothers, Johnny Clemon and Walter Price of Robersonville, NC; and one sister, Wilhelmina Penn
of Robersonville, NC; twenty four grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Her walk through viewing will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Manson Mortuary in
Williamston, NC. A face mask is recommended upon entrance to the building.
Another viewing will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Middle Ground
Roanoke Baptist Tabernacle (Temple) in Gold Point, NC.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 am at Middle Ground Roanoke
Baptist Tabernacle (Temple) in Gold Point, NC with Pastor Samuel Earl Chance serving as the eulogist.
Her interment will immediately follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC.
