Robert Louis Whitley, "Bra", age 84, passed away on February 8, 2023 in Chippenham Medical

Center in Richmond, Va.

Robert obtained his education from the Martin County Public School system.

Robert retired from Weyerhauser in Plymouth, NC. He loved to read Islamic literature, the Qur'an,

African American history, and fishing.

His survivors include one daughter, Zadtu Taiu Whitley Dawson of Chesterfield, VA , one son,

Joseph Amen Ra Whitley of NY; and four grandchildren.

His walk through viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm

at Manson Mortuary in Williamston, NC. A face covering is recommended upon entrance to the building.

His graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Andrews Memorial Park in

Williamston, NC.

His interment will immediately follow the service.
