Ruby Purvis Thompson

Ms. Ruby Jean Purvis Thompson, age 79, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 in

Brooklyn, NY.  Ruby was a retired Civil Service Worker with the city of New York.

Her survivors include two daughters, Audra and Stephanie Thompson both of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Edward Purvis of Valley Stream, NY; three sisters, Carolyn Hassan of Brooklyn, NY; Shirley Sharp of Robersonville, NC and Juanita Brown of Gold Point, NC . 

Her public viewing will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Robersonville, NC.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Robersonville, NC. Pastor Gregory Black will be officiating. Her interment will immediately follow the service in Robersonville Memorial Gardens, Robersonville, NC.
