Williamston, NC Mrs. Ruth Geneva Jones Speller, 85, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Roanoke River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Speller was born in Martin County. She was a member of Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in Williamston, NC. Survivors include five sons, Rufus B. Speller of Winterville, NC, Kenneth D. Speller of Williamston, NC, Reginald R. Speller of Williamston, NC, Wayne A. Speller of Prince George, VA, and Tony R. Speller of Williamston, NC; one stepson, Charles Wiggins of Windsor, NC; five daughters, Patricia S. Harris of Ahoskie, NC, Regina S. Smith of Williamston, NC, Sharon S. Smallwood of Dallas, GA, Anita Justice Patterson of Winston-Salem, NC, and Georgia Bonds of Roper, NC; one step-brother, Dr. Edmond H. Whitley of Norfolk, VA; two step-sisters, Edith Scott of Williamston, NC and Delores Hamilton of Albany, NY; 31 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Manson Mortuary, Williamston, NC and from 1-2 pm on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in Williamston, NC. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in Williamston, NC with Rev. Ingrid Hackett officiating. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Park in Williamston, NC.
